Scyphozoan

I've been making a lot of niche puzzles recently, but this is my attempt to find interesting interactions within a well explored constraint. I hope you enjoy the puzzle!

Rules:
  • Standard sudoku rules apply.
  • Digits strictly increase along thermometers from the bulb end.

When setting this puzzle, I discovered that there was a decent amount of flexibility in how I placed the thermos while preserving the main logical ideas. I tried to take advantage of the flexibility by producing a jellyfish :)

Solution code: The digits along row 2.

Really lovely pure thermo puzzle. I am a purist who prefers the soulless grey lines though :)

Just as you set out to do, the thermo ideas are beautiful and the sudoku crumbles easily and satisfyingly at the end.

I also hate to admit it, but solving the version with the curvy flowy lines was much more fun and thematic, even though I thought I was a purist who preferred the soul-less grey straight thermos
