Siena (Geradeweg-like loop)

Siena

This was made for a weekly Scojo setting prompt: "make a puzzle with ratio dots and skyscraper clues". I hope you enjoy the puzzle!

Rules:
  • Draw a loop that travels orthogonally through some cells, and does not branch or cross itself. Additionally, place numbers in cells separated by dots in the grid. All clues in the puzzle are ciphered: Each instance of a specific letter stands for a different digit from 1 through 7, inclusive. For example, every 'S' clue represents a different digit.
  • The length of a straight loop segment is defined to be the number of cell-borders crossed by it.
  • Skyscraper clues: Each number above or below the grid is the number of vertical loop segments that can be seen from the clue in the corresponding column, where a segment can be seen if it is longer than all preceding segments. Similarly, clues left or right of the grid count the number of horizontal loop segments that can be seen from the clue.
  • Ratio dots: Each dot with value X separates a pair of 'number-cells', which contain numbers with a ratio of X. The loop must visit all number-cells. If the loop passes straight through a number-cell, the number indicates the length of the straight segment. If the loop turns at a number-cell, the number indicates the length of both loop segments extending from that cell.

The example puzzle is non-ciphered. The green cells are the 'number-cells'.

Solution code: The length of the longest vertical loop segment in each column, left to right. (0 if there are no vertical loop segments in a given column.) For the example, the solution code would be 2111236.
