Hot and Cold XV

Sudoku: Normal Sudoku rules apply.
XV: Cells connected by an X must sum to 10. Cells connected by an V must sum to 5.
Thermo: Digits along a thermometer must increase from the bulb to the tip.
When a 9 is placed on a thermo, digits must instead reduce along the thermo until the next 1.
When a 1 is placed on a thermo, digits must instead increase along the thermo until the next 9.

Felt like a (dynamic) fog of war puzzle with a box per box solve. I think this would improve the puzzle as you will be amazed by the length of the thermo.

Thanks for the kind words. I have used regular fog in a few puzzles, but haven't dabbled with dynamic fog yet. I think you are right that dynamic fog would have made the thermo feel more like a discovery / surprise :) Will have to try this in future.
