Hi there, thanks for checking out my latest puzzle!
This was inspired by the recent Collab I did with : Marty Sears where we invented hitlines.
Thanks so much to Chinstrap and LMDemasi for the test solves!
Constraints used
- Normal sudoku rules apply. (Place the digits once each into every row, column and box.)
- Hitlines! Digits along a beige 'hitline' do not repeat. The number on a blue circle (or two-digit pill reading from left to right) points to the first cell ('position 1') along a hitline, and indicates the total of any digits that equal their position number along that hitline.

I kept forgetting digits on lines don't repeat. It's possible apparently to solve the puzzle while forgetting about that for 95% of the solve.

I learned a lesson from this puzzle: when you waste an hour and can’t make any headway on a 3*… double-check your math. Just because it says right there in your notes that 1+2=2, it doesn’t make it true. Anyway cool puzzle, I hate maths now.

Brilliant! You have really taken this ruleset a step further - some really lovely interactions in here and satisfying things to spot. The overall flow was really nice, and it reminded me a bit of a ChinStrap puzzle in that respect. I think this is one of my favourites of your puzzles. I am really happy we did that collaboration together, these lines have loads more magic to explore

This was a great follow up to the first hitline puzzle. Love how sudoku really impacts the options of pill values in this.
