Unidentified Flying Octagon

(Published on 4. March 2025, 02:55 by marty_sears)

It was an absolute pleasure working with Katie Splendor on this puzzle for Scojo's recent prompt to collab with someone we haven't worked with before. We were told to choose one constraint each, and use only those constraints in the puzzle. Katie chose German Whispers and I chose index lines.

    Rules:

    Normal sudoku rules apply.

Adjacent digits on a green line have a difference of at least 5.

The Nth digit along a teal line (starting from the diamond) indicates the position along the line where the digit N appears. Eg: if the first cell along a line is a 3, then the 3rd cell along that line is a 1.

Please leave a comment if you enjoy :)

I loved this puzzle! I'd say maybe a 1.5* break-in for me, then it resolved fairly straight after that.
