Very nice 2* puzzle, I suspect it would have a higher rating if the solution code were simpler. Just a guess, because the construction is nice, the break-in is very approachable and it's a very easy flow.

@manushand: Interesting; I had never thought about that, and have just always used a row and a column for my solution codes. You think that limiting it to just one or the other would help my puzzles' ratings? I will adopt that idea; thank you!

Set estimated difficulty level (had forgotten!); thanks for commenter suggestion!

Great puzzle with a nice break in. Felt more 2* to me. Also, what is the inspiration for the name?

@manushand: Thanks! And yes, I totally forgot to estimate difficulty! I agree it should be fewer than three stars and I will change that; thanks! As for the puzzle's title, apparently (at least according to one Webpage I googled) a roll of six and three in craps is called a "Lou Brown" -- I don't know why (or even, now, whether this information can be trusted?). It seems Wikipedia editors rejected the craps-call-reason claim in 2008, made on a page for a female singer with that name. I had expected that it likely comes from the jersey number of a sportsman (#36 or #63), since other calls (44="Hank Aaron" and 23="Michael Jordan"), but I honestly don't know who the Lou Brown is/was who inspired the craps-call, and now I wonder if I got a bum steer from google and it's not a real craps-call at all!
