I rated this 2/5 difficulty.
Great puzzle, and nice addition to the series! This is probably the most difficult puzzle in the ring series so far, but had some really interesting and novel logic for the break-in. The difficulty felt somewhere on the harder end of 2*, perhaps close to an easier 3* puzzle.
I was able to figure out what sorts of digits could fall on the ring fairly quickly, which really made my solve time quicker than I expected (and probably quicker than would be typical for someone inexperienced with the series). I really liked the geometry of the corner squares resulting from the kropki dots, and it led to a very interesting and unique solve path. My prior experience with other puzzles that use the ring definitely helped, and I think the break-in would be quite difficult to approach without having solved other similar puzzles, even if you understand the phistomefel ring set on its own.
The break in logic was probably around 2-3/5 difficulty. I think understanding (and using) the set equivalence is absolutely necessary to approach the puzzle successfully.
The mid game was fairly approachable at around 1-2/5 difficulty, but towards the end of the solve there was some harder logic (around the center of the puzzle and 14-sum cage) that was fairly tricky to spot/deduce for me.
Overall the puzzle was very fun & a great use of the phistomefel ring. This is probably the hardest in the series so far, but definitely my favorite yet. Looking forward to more puzzles in this series, thanks for sharing!
