(Published on 16. January 2025, 19:15 by Jolly Rogers)

RULES:

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • A digit in a circle must belong to the same entropic group (high [789], medium [456] or low [123]) as every cell a single chess knights move away from it.
  • For example: if cell r1c1 had a circled digit, it would belong to the same entropic group as cells r2c3 and r3c2.
  • Digits on a purple renban line are consecutive and non-repeating.
  • Adjacent digits along a green whisper line must differ in value by at least 5.
  • The digits joined by a black dot must be in a 2:1 ratio, e.g one digit is double the other.

An intelligent setup. Nothing more and nothing less is given.

What a fun journey and what an amazingly delightful finish! Now I just need to find a joke that includes (en)tropical knights and their journeys/adventures...

Very clever, very enjoyable and quite approachable, just under 20 min. for me, most of which was spent on the colouring.

I really enjoyed that one, but then again I have got a soft spot for colouring puzzles.

That was much more approachable than I expected it to be and the ending was just delightful

I really thought this was gonna be a pain to solve so I almost skipped it. Glad I didn't. With some clever coloring, you can quickly break-in. Then use some additional coloring at the end to resolves some doubles/triples and you'll have it. Really didn't take that long because it was such a beautifully constructed puzzle. Bravo!
