Missed Opportunities

This puzzle was originally created for the sudoku adventure series by Rangsk but turned out to be a little bit too hard for that. It should still be 1 star for LMD though. Thanks to the CtC fan discord and my fellow adventure setters for testing. Hope you enjoy!
- Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply.
- Doublers: 6 cells in the grid (one per row, column and box) are doubled. Each digit appears in a doubler. The value of a doubled cell is twice its digit. The value of an undoubled cell is its digit.
- Killer Cages: Digits may not repeat in cages. Values in a cage sum to the total in the top-left corner.
Solution code: Digits in doubled cells top to bottom (6 digits)

I totally don't get the double thing, though I was able to solve the puzzle in no time. But I can't enter the "Digits in doubled cells top to bottom". Could someone please explain in simple terms? Smart enough to solve the puzzle, to dumb to understand the rules ...

gdc: Thanks for solving! The digit in the row 1 doubler followed by the digit in the row 2 doubler and so on until row 6.

Okay - but what IS a doubler? How do I recognize it? How do I find it? What does it look like?
