Seeing red, seeing double

(Published on 16. November 2024, 20:21 by ralphwaldo1)

Click grid to play in SudokuApp

Somedoku: In each cell, place a digit from 1-6. In row N, there must be exactly N distinct digits. Also in column N, there must be exactly N distinct digits.

Yin Yang: colour each cell one of two colours, such that the grid is divided into two orthogonally connected regions, one of each colour. No 2 x 2 square may consist of cells of one colour only. Doublers: all shaded cells have a value double that of their digit.

Balancer lines: along each red line, the sum of the values of the cells of one colour must equal the sum of the values of the cells of the other colour.

A hint may be useful, which is a third secret about Yin Yang puzzles in general

Solution code: Rows 4, 5, 6 - shaded cells only

Excellent puzzle! My favorite flavors of logic are all packed neatly into a small 6x6 box :)

Beautiful puzzle! Very satisfying how the logic required to open the next part kept shifting. Thank you!
