Leaky Thermos

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Thermometer: On a thermometer the digits must increase from the bulb to the tip.
Leaks: There are leaks on the thermometers. At a leak the digit must be lower than the previous one instead. There is exactly 1 leak in each row, column, and box.
Given Leak: There is a leak at row 9 column 1.

Thanks for playing this puzzle.
I had the idea for, started and finished setting this one after 'artifact report' was already complete. It wasn't any deeper than "what if a thermo would span the entire puzzle?".
I used this one to get familiar with publishing Puzzles on this site.
Also thanks for the encouragment. I do regularly check on here and i am always happy to see a new comment, solve or bookmark. I have some ideas I still want to turn into sudokus, but I am very slow on the turnaround because I enjoy too many hobbies. :)
Your comment might have now sparked the urge to try to incorporate leaky thermos into a theory confirmation style puzzle like 'artifact report'.

I’ve long been curious to see what this one had in store, and I’ve a feeling that its idea was considered for the ‘main project’, so to speak, but dropped from being unimplementable, and then just used as a bonus, LMD ice-breaker puzzle, would that be right?
Anyway, nice fun puzzle in itself, made a lot less hard than it could have been. I’m sure, thank to the given leak. Glad to see the new attention the ‘main project’ received, I hope there’ll be more, that one is just amazing!

Thanks for the heads up. This was my first submission here and i got surprised by having to set a solution. So i just chose all digits out of a lack of experience/better idea.
This is of course excessive, so I adjusted it to only ask for Row 5. <3

Could you please clarify the solution code? I have no intention of keying in 81 digits, which is what you appear to be asking for!
