Yin Yang: colour each cell one of two colours, such that the grid is divided into two orthogonally connected regions, one of each colour. No 2 x 2 square may consist of cells of one colour only.
Balancer lines: along each red line, the sum of the digits in the cells of one colour must equal the sum of the digits in the cells of the other colour.

I’d heard about the third secret of yin yang but hadn’t been able to get my head round it until watching the video on the subject (https://youtu.be/7SzXi9UcABs?si=al60fj5x4-quM79H) The recommendation was this puzzle which used that very secret and indeed that gave me the break in. This was a really enjoyable puzzle and surely should be worth a feature on Cracking the Cryptic!

Lovely puzzle to highlight the third secret of Yin Yang. Finally got to it. And did so because IcyFruit's monster Duelling Dragons reminded me of Yin Yang's hidden secrets (there is no Yin Yang in that puzzle - it was the vibe). Lovely setting.

Very cool puzzle! I definitely needed to use the link provided (and learned about a new Yin Yang secret in the process). After the break-in, things flowed amazingly up until one tricky deduction at the end, but it was very satisfying to finally make it through!
