Normal sudoku rules apply.
From each clue outside the grid, draw a path which immediately goes into the nearest cell of the grid and then travels through the centres of some cells until arriving at a fish.
All empty cells must be used by a path. Paths may not cross themselves, each other, or fish.
A number at the beginning of a path indicates how many cells in the grid the path occupies, including the cell with the fish.
Question marks on the outside must be determined by the solver. The fishing lines are all renban lines. A fishing line can never go directly across any dot.
Normal kropki-dots rules apply. Black dots have a 1:2 ratio and white dots are consecutive.
Normal X and V rules apply. Digits along a X must sum to 10 and digits along a V must sum to 5.
The middle 8 is me, I am a Dutch sailor, and I'm sailing in 8 squares to the north star above me to fill all the squares with a line. The squares I sail on are all part of a Dutch whisper line, adjacent digits on the line must have a difference of at least 4, and are not part of a fishing line.
Solution code: Column 1 followed by column 2

The fish obscuring the pencilmarks and even making full digits harder to see is a big downside even if they are important for the theme of the puzzle. (they need not have been blue for that, anyway)
Additionally, the rules do not specify that the lines have to move orthogonally.

neat puzzle! I liked working with the lines
only complaint is that the fish obscured my markings

Very nice, but (for me) difficult puzzle! Had to come back to it a few times to make progress, but I did it. My first 3 Star puzzle. Thank you!
