The Labyrinth

(Eingestellt am 25. Februar 2024, 08:30 Uhr von Twan2797)

My second attempt with this ruleset. This puzzle is notably more doable than my previous attempt, which can be found here. Please don't be discouraged by the long ruleset, I have added an example how it works.

Rules:

Sudoku
Place the digits 0-8 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.

Labyrinth
- Draw an orthogonally connected Labyrinth from entrances to exits. All walls must connect to at least one border.
- No 2x2-region may be completely covered by the path or by walls.
- the outside grid is considered part of the walls / labyrinth.

Squares
- Squares are light switches and must be on the walls.
- The number in the square indicates how many lightbulbs (circles) are directly adjacent to the light switch (horizonal or vertical).

Circles
- Circles are lightbulbs. The lightbulbs have to be determined by the solver so that:
   ° they are directly adjacent (horizontally or vertically)       to a light switch;
   ° all lightbulbs are inside the maze (not on walls);
   ° they are not directly adjacent to another lightbulb       horizontally or vertically;
   ° the entire labyrinth is lighten up (including the    entrance and exit).
- The number on a circle (light bulb) indicates its brightness. This is defined to be how many cells it lights up in all available directions, including itself (ranging from 0(off) to 8). For example, a 4 in a lightbulb means it lights itself up + 3 additional cells.
- Light may not overlap.

X sums
- An X works as a connector of two places, which both have to be either walls or part of the maze. The two cells have to sum to 10.

Example
The following is an example how a corner of the Labyrint may look and how lightswitches and lightbulbs work. Coloured cells indicate the light of the bulb, the line indicates the path.

Very cool variation on Akari! It took a while to fully understand the rules, but the example image helped a lot with that.
