Untitled Gauss Game

(Eingestellt am 6. Februar 2024, 06:05 Uhr von DarthParadox)

Place into each cell a complex number of the form "a+bi" (or "a" or "bi"), such that each row, column, and 2x3 box contains the digits 1-9 once each (as either "a" or "b").

A number in a circle is the sum of the numbers on the attached grey arrow. A number in a box is the product of the numbers on the attached red arrow. Each cage's numbers sum to a total whose real part is the same size as its imaginary part (i.e. a cage's sum must be of the form X+Xi). Digits may repeat in a cage if otherwise permitted.

Online solver: Penpa+ (For purposes of answer check, write all complex numbers without spaces and omitting zero terms but including 1 as a coefficient. Examples: "7", "3i", "2+1i". Many thanks to Swaroop for adding a feature to make this possible!)

Modified online solver: SudokuPad (Note that the SudokuPad version of the puzzle is formatted/colored slightly differently; the "+" and "i" parts of the expression are provided already, and you will need to include the zero terms in the grid in order to get the solver's answer check to work. However, the solution code on this page should still be entered in "a+bi" form with zero terms omitted.)

Lösungscode: The numbers in row 5 in a+bi form, without zero terms, separated by slashes (e.g. "1/2+3i/4i/5+6i/7/8+9i")

This is the 12x12 version for convenience for putting 2 digits into 1 cell.
