This puzzle perfectly encapsulates the problem with the way Sudokupad displays rules. A good app would tell you which "features" (Kropki, Killer cages, etc.) appear in the puzzle and let you look at a detailed explanation if you're not familiar with them. But no, instead we have long blurbs of text that you have to read every time even though they usually don't tell you anything you didn't already know, because if you don't read it then you won't know that there's a magic square in the puzzle. And even if you do, it doesn't actually explain what a magic square is. It's simultaneously too much and too little text. The worst of both worlds.

For those who need to know (I had to look it up from the puzzle Four Leaf Magician):
A magic square is a set of non-repeating digits that form a square where each row, column and main diagonal all sum to the same total.

My goodness, what a struggle. Until I reread the rules… magic square! Beautiful how it rolled out from there on. Very nice puzzle

at first glance I thought I'd need geometry math (ring + box5) but in the end that wasn't needed.

@Jorava Take a 3x3 box and draw a plus sign and an X on it. This gives you four lines of 3 digits each that all pass through the center digit of the box. Each of these lines must sum to 15. If you label the digits in a box A-I such that the box looks like:
ABC
DEF
GHI
The sum of each of the following groups of digits is 15:
A+E+I
B+E+H
C+E+G
D+E+F
