Normal sudoku rules apply.

Killer cages: values in a cage sum to the clue that's given.

Closed path:
    a. The puzzle includes a closed path that loops around the grid.
    b. The path can cross itself without restrictions.
    c. The grid has a torus topology, meaning the path wraps around to the opposite side when reaching a boundary.

Cells effect on the path:
    a. Cells labeled 5 need to be all visited.
    b. Cells labeled 7 can never be stepped on.
    c. Cells labeled 6/9 are left/right turns respectively, depending on the direction of travel. (For example, navigating the path in one direction would make all 6s right turns and 9s left turns. Reversing the direction would switch the turn directions accordingly). Except for those cells, the path can only go in a straight line.
    d. Cells labeled 8 indicate a 180-degree turn in the path.
    e. For the remaining cells (labelled 1-4), their can only be a path between consecutive digits.

Values outside the grid indicate the sum of the cells that are crossed by the pass in the corresponding direction (for a column clue, we don't account if the path is crossing a cell horizontally).

Solve in F-Puzzles or SudokuPad.

Out of curiosity, has anybody seen a ruleset like this? If so could you share the puzzle please?

EDIT: I see that there are still no solve here so I added a path example in case the rule is not clear. Only path cells are filled in (the rest of the grid is not valid). Please ask questions if something can be clarified.

I just checked again and the solution code seems correct, second row followed by the 4th row, without any spaces

It is impossible to have a path between cells that have difference of more than 1. So it's not possible between 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 but it's possible between 2 and 3 for example.
