Rules: Normal Sudoku rules apply. Put the digits 1 to 9 once each in each row column and box.
Doublers: One cell in every row, column and box is a doubler. This cell counts as double its value on the lines. Each of the digits 1 to 9 appears exactly once in a doubler cell.
Triplers: One cell in every row, column and box is a tripler. This cell counts as triple its value on the lines. Each of the digits 1 to 9 appears exactly once in a tripler cell.
Restriction: Doublers and triplers do not share cells and no doubler or tripler cell is within a king's move of any other doubler or tripler cell.
Region Sum Lines: The sum of the values on a line within a box must be the same for each box that line passes through. If a line passes through a box more than once, each time it passes through counts separately.

Doublers AND triplers? Well, you've probably opened a can of worms in the sudoku world. I expect to see twenty or thirty tripler puzzles on LMD within the next few weeks.

Fantastic puzzle! The star battle element to the modifiers worked really well, and all of the math beautifully sorted itself out for a very smooth solve!

It's one thing to set a puzzle with these rules, it's another to make it so clutter free and well telegraphed.
