If two cells are just a single King's move apart, their digits may be the same if otherwise allowed.
Standard Sudoku and quad rules apply: the digits in a circle must appear at least once in the 2x2 square around it.

Beautiful puzzle! Had a really fun time solving it, and the symmetry early on that eventually leads to the break-in was superb. Thanks for sharing!

Very pretty patterns! I quite like puzzles like this that sort of support and reward a form of controlled bifurcation to gradually reduce the solution space symmetrically. That differentiating 57 quad was a particularly clever choice.
Also, this may be my new favourite puzzle title
