The Four Horsemen

A horseman's route is such a set of nine different digits that each two consecutive digits are a chess knight's move apart. For example, if r1c1 was 1, r2c3 was 2, r3c1 was 3, and r1c2 was 4, this could be the beginning of the horseman's route. There are four such routes on the diagram. The circled r5c3 cell belongs to all of them and apart from this no two routes share a cell. The circled r5c3 cell and all caged cells belong to the routes and the digits within these 9 cells do not repeat. The cages labelled with the same letter belong to the same route and the cages labelled with different letters belong to the different routes. The alphabetical order of pairs of cages matches the numerical order of the higher digits in pairs (for example, the higher of two digits labelled with C must be higher than the higher of two digits labelled with B).

Normal arrow rules apply, i.e. the number in the circle must equal the total of the numbers along the stalk of the arrow. All the digits on the arrows and in the arrow circles belong to the horsemen's routes. Each of the straight arrows (marked with red circle inside) goes through cells from three different routes while the polygonal chain arrow (starting at r9c3) goes through three cells from the same route.

Not all routes are necessarily resolvable in a unique way.

It isn't too hard to solve but it was very special indeed. I liked it very much! An interesting new variety of a puzzle with knight moves. Thumbs up!
