Red Square Blue Square

(Eingestellt am 7. Juni 2023, 17:29 Uhr von marty_sears)

Rules:
  • Divide the grid into ten orthogonally connected 10-cell regions.
  • Each digit from 0-9 appears in one red square and one blue square, and also once in every row, column and region.
  • Each region contains one red square and one blue square, whose digits sum to 9.
  • A digit in an arrow cell indicates the number of borders (separating two regions) it sees in a straight line in the direction of the arrow. Borders on the outer perimeter of the grid don’t count, because they aren’t separating two regions.

this one was quite a challenge! I tried it a couple weeks ago and couldn't figure out the break-in, after maybe 30 minutes of trying. It seemed totally impenetrable. Today I insisted on getting it, and after 20-30 minutes of looking, I finally found it, and from there it was quite smooth sailing. Lots of fun!!

I found this fairly challenging but thoroughly enjoyable. I kept messing up the regions, but eventually everything panned out. Thanks for this beautiful puzzle!

Truly excellent. I love the combination of the flood fill logic with the arrows.

Kept thinking I had broke the regions, but always manage to squeak them in there. Only 3 more puzzles to go in my marty_sears backlog!

Lovely puzzle. I finally got time to give it the attention it deserves. As always some interesting ideas. The red/blue idea with pairs (of different kinds and different perhaps with different restrictions) has lots of possibilities.

Ohohhh, I forgot both digits in squares add up to 9, so I was stuck for an hour :D.
In the end it isn't too bad. 3,5 stars for me. Thank you!
