- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Each line has an associated digit N. Within each box that a line passes through, the sum of the digits on the line indicate the position in the box where N must be placed. For example, if N=5 for the box 1/2 line, and the digits on the line in box 1 add up to 7, then 5 must be placed in r3c1. And if r2c4 is 3, then 5 must be placed in r1c6.
To clarify, the positions in the box are labeled:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Agree that the rule set came across as tricky at first, but the enjoyment builds as it becomes more intuitive. Amazing puzzle!

Interesting puzzle, I think it might be easier to say that? These lines are indices of the same unknown algebra.

Very interesting ruleset. Difficult at first, but once I understood how to attack the puzzle, it flowed quite nicely. Definitely recommend giving this one a spin.
