RULES:

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Killer: The value of digits within a Killer cage must sum to the number in the top-left corner. Digits must not repeat within a Killer cage.


MODIFIER:

Cage Ambiguity: The nature of each Killer cage must be determined by the solver.
Overlapping Cages: Killer cages may share digits; no more than two cages may overlap the same cell.
Hot/Cold Cages: Killer cages are either a "Hot" or "Cold" cage

for Killer values
Hot cages increase the value of each cell within the cage by 1
Cold cages decrease the value of each cell within the cage by 1.

Note: The colour of each cage has no bearing on its nature; it is a means of differentiation and clarity only.

Can you clarify the rules? Does every cage have to be either hot or cold? Or can some of the cages be normal?

Also, if two hot cages overlap in a single cell, is that cell's value increased by 1 or by 2? If a hot and a cold cage overlap, do they cancel each other out?

Edit: Figured out the "overlapping" rule just by doing the puzzle and seeing that it logically entails a rule for overlaps. Very nice puzzle.
