Baseless

(Eingestellt am 2. März 2023, 14:50 Uhr von steelwool)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.
All cages sum to the same 'value', but the number is not always read as base 10. It can be base 10, or one of three other bases.

For example, if the cage sum is 12 and the bases are 10, 9, 8, and 6, then the actual cage values are 12, 11, 10 and 8.
Where the cage sum would be written in a box (3x3 square) that contains another cage sum, the bases will be different.

Verry challenging an verry rewarding!
After you have found the break in, it's 4 stars, but before it's more like 6 stars.

Perhaps the puzzle would be accessible to more solvers, if you just demand, that only 4 different cage sums appear (where cage sums in the same box need to be different). The part with the bases do not change much, or am I wrong?

Lovely puzzle. Made a few mistakes along the way, but a pretty solve.
@GrizzledStoat Thanks, and well done! It seems not to have attracted that many people, but I didn't think it was too bad once you worked out what the cage totals could be
