Rules

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Modified Killer: The small number at the top left corner of the cages is either a sum or a product. There are two cages of each given value, one of which must be a product, and the other a sum. It's up to the solver to determine which cage is which.

Excellent puzzle. Product cages always seem to give some interesting logic :)

Very nice puzzle with some elegant logic, thank you. Resolving the ambiguities around the nature of the cages was a lot of fun. It took me 23 minutes, which is quite slow for a 3* puzzle, but I think the rating is correct: you just have to move forward carefully. Thanks again, lovely puzzle!

Das ist ein ganz tolles Rätsel und hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Dankeschön dafür. :-))
Die Regeln sind doch ganz klar.
Eines der beiden 14-Cages ist ENTWEDER 2*7 ODER 5+9 / 6+8.

Super fun! Liked the break-in very much, and also the logic from there on.

However, if that is the case, then the puzzle is broken. In the 7th column, the 7 cage and the 5 cage conflict.

>>I think you have proven that they can’t both be products. :)

I may be misunderstanding the rules, but I have found that the puzzle is broken. Does the number in the top left of the cage mean that the numbers in the cage must either sum or multiply to that number?

>>Yes, that is what it means. :)
