Lilypad Series #4 - Your Average Lilypad

(Eingestellt am 27. Januar 2023, 17:46 Uhr von Mikemerin)

Part of the Lilypad Series

The first in the series to utilize other variants in addition to the Lilypad mechanic. I wanted to make a minimal symmetrical puzzle, at times you'll be tempted to bifurcate but there's always logic to show which digits are correct!

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Digits in columns 1, 5, and 9 indicate which column contains that row's respective digit, e.g. in r3 if c1 is 4 then c4 is 1, if c5 is 2 then c2 is 5, etc.

White dots separate consecutive digits, not all are given.

Leapfrog: if a cell is next to (in any direction) a lilypad digit "N", it jumps across the lilypad by N cells and any cell it lands on must also differ by N, e.g. in c1 if r4/5 is 4/3, 4 jumps 3 cells down to r7 and can be 1 or 7.

Additionally, the digit on a lilypad must equal the average of all numbers on a cyan line it touches.

In the example below: if R3C1 is 4, since R3C2 (lilypad) is a 3, R3C4 can be either a 1 or a 7.

Example:
