Normal sudoku rules apply
Renban: Pink lines must contain a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits in any order.
XV: Cells separated by an X must sum to 10. Cells separated by a V must sum to 5. Not all X's and V's are given (no negative constraint)
Can be played online at f-puzzles or CTC
Solution code: Row 8 (left to right) followed by column 5 (top to bottom). 18 digits, no spaces.

Sometimes I run across an "easy" puzzle but I find it difficult because the rule set doesn't click for me (don't have a better explanation).
I could sense this puzzle wasn't easy, and yet at the same time everything clicked for me. The solve was smooth while being far from trivial.

If you're looking for the most plebe-friendly Tallcat puzzle, here she is. The break-in is definitely a challenge, but once you get it, it's just lovely. The whole thing is smooth but doesn't just fall apart after the break-in. Wonderful puzzle, Tallcat!

Couldn't agree more with other commenters... I've completed many 2* puzzles but this is one of the rare ones that challenged me with the break in and led to a really enjoyable solve all the way through. What a fantastic puzzle.

Thank you for this nice puzzle, tallcat! For me it was 3/5 difficulty, but I might be biased by the fact that I struggled with the break-in. :)
Once I got going, the solve had an enjoyable flow. Great setting!
