One piece

(Eingestellt am 25. September 2022, 22:48 Uhr von lerroyy)

This is big puzzle and will take some time, but it has a logical path that I hope'll enjoy.

Rules:

You have to choose 6 digits out of 1-9 for each grid. Digits can’t repeat in every row/column and region of the 6x6’s grid. Grid 1 and 4 are cc’s, where the 6 cells regions have to be found. Numbers outside the grid go from 0 to infinity.

Grid 1: Numbers outside the grid are x sum clues. The first cell in the grid X, indicates that the first X cells sum to the number outside the grid. The first X cells are in the same region and the cell in the Xth+1 cell is in a different region. Digits can repeat in cages (also with outside numbers and digits from other grids) and sum to the number in the top left corner if given. Cells in a cage are part of the same region.

Grid 2: White dots separate consecutive digits, black dots separate digits with 1:2 ratio and black diamonds separate digits with a 1:3 ratio. Outside digits don’t affect the grid.

Grid 3: Digits can repeat in cages (also with outside numbers and digits from other grids) and sum to the number in the top left corner if given. Outside digits don’t affect the grid.

Grid 4: White dots separate consecutive digits, black dots separate digits with 1:2 ratio and black diamonds separate digits with a 1:3 ratio. Dots and diamonds separate 2 regions. Numbers outside the grid give the sum of the digits until the first edge.

Excellent puzzle, with a start that needs some careful thinking to get the right orientation among all the clues, and a very nice rewarding flow after midsolve once the toughest part is done. Thanks !

Do these puzzles all contian the same set of digits?

You don't need to know that to solve the puzzle, you can figure out if they do or not

This puzzle is fantastic! Very time consuming, but absolutely fantastic. Great deductions all throughout, I loved solving this one!

Answer check in the given Penpa+ link didn't work for me. It works in the following link with numbers (including clued cells outside grids) plus edges in grids 1&4:

Quite easy to make mistakes at some points, but a really cool puzzle with lots of lovely deductions, particularly like how satisfying grid 2 (top right) got finished :)

Great puzzle! I liked that there was a lot of going back and forth between the puzzles throughout the solve. It wasn't always obvious where the next progress could be made, so you really had think carefully about every bit of information. Very enjoyable!

@Lerroyy
Q: do the digits used in-between two grids also are part of the choice of 6 digits for both concerning grids?

A: the outside digits or numbers don't have to be the same as the digit in the grid. you could have 6, 28, 73... as an outside clue.

Q: ofcourse an outside clue may have multiple digits, but as each grid has its own set, the question was meant - do the digits used in the outside clues have to belong to those sets of 6? So, I suppose not.

A: Oh sorry I didn't understand, but yeah, outside numbers don't have to use the 6 digits from the grid

Crazy idea, perfectly executed. Definitely worth solving, although I'd advise you to prepare some quantity of your preferred hot beverage beforehand. 4 puzzles, coming all as one.
