The Knight and the Knave (Legit/Liar Sudoku)

Don’t be fooled—this is not an anti-knight puzzle! The title is a reference to the classic “Knights and Knaves” riddles. We wanted to see if it was possible to create a puzzle with two unique solutions, depending on whether all the clues are true or all the clues are lies. This was a lot of fun to set and we hope you enjoy solving both versions!
This puzzle is intended to be solved twice: once where all the clues are legitimate (“The Knight”), and once where all the clues are liars (“The Knave”). In both versions, normal Sudoku rules apply. Note: The solution code requires information from both versions of the puzzle. It is therefore recommended that you save the first solution before moving onto the second.
Rules:
Normal Sudoku: Place the digits 1 to 9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
The Knight (Legit Clues)
- Digits joined by a white dot are consecutive.
- Starting from the bulb, adjacent digits on a thermometer increase.
- Adjacent digits on a green line differ by 5 or more.
The Knave (Liar Clues)
- Digits joined by a white dot are not consecutive.
- Starting from the bulb, adjacent digits on a thermometer do not increase.
- Adjacent digits on a green line do not differ by 5 or more.

Lösungscode: Row 1 of “The Knight” followed by Row 1 of “The Knave” (left to right, 18 digits, no spaces)

Great construction ! The 2 solves were interesting and not too hard. I expected the liar puzzle to be harder, which it wasn't after all, kind of easy even. Guess we're getting used to think about rulesets sideways nowadays...

Wow! Lovely solve path on both versions, Knight and Knave! Took me quite a while to puzzle through the way the anti-German whispers worked and I kept finding myself removing the wrong thing by accident.

Very approachable and very interesting. Perfectly suited for CtC.
BTW I solved Knave significantly faster than Knight - more so than can be explained by familiarity with the grid the second time around. The "trick" didn't trip me at all because I had anticipated it the moment I read the rules.

I love this so far but I have to admit I'm stuck on the Knave. What a knave!
