3. In each box, a game of tic-tac-toe is played. The starting positions are showed within the boxes. Every game must have player 'X' as the starting player and must end in a draw. The set of digits covered by the X's (respectively O's) must be the same for each box.

For the final time, a small adjustment. The rule set has one more sentence. Therefore, the links has been changed. Do not worry, the puzzle/solve has not been effected.

Now also the image of the puzzle has been corrected.

The starting grid has changed in box 6. Concretely, there is no O anymore in position R5C9. Thank you to @asp1310 for the clever notion!

@asp1310, thank you for the feedback! It is indeed quite strange that box 6 consists of more O's than X's. I will update this immediately, as well as on the links and the CtC Discord. Funnily enough this has not been noticed by any of the testers and myself!

Players do not have to play optimal, so it is possible for players to do a move which is not winning, despite they could be in a winning position. The constraint is that the game must finish as a draw.

If X is the starting player, how are there two O’s in Box 6 already (with only one X)? Surely the O player can only put their second O in after the first player has already done their own second X?

Also are players who have just been blocked from completing a line-of-three by the other player on the last turn always taking the most optimal next move every time, or can they take any fresh blank cell? If so, Box 3 would not be a draw (after being blocked by O taking r1c8, X should optimally take r3c9, which will always lead to X winning - O cannot take both r1c7 and r3c7 in the same turn, so whichever O takes, X should take the other and win). But if the players are not taking logical/optimal turns, it is impossible to work out logically where each player would choose to place their symbols next, rendering the constraint meaningless after the first blocks have happened.
