Ridges and Troughs

After enjoying myself with PjotrV's Fort Sushi, I thought I'd try for a sudoku with minimum and maximum cells as well. 'Ridges' and 'troughs' are terms in meteorology which describe elongated areas of high or low pressure. Wikipedia has articles on both.
- Normal sudoku rules apply: Each row, column, and region indicated by thick borders in the grid must contain the digits 1 to 9 once each.
- Minimum: The 9 blue cells in the corners of boxes 1, 3 and 7 are minimum cells: they must be lower than all white cells they border orthogonally.
- Maximum (fortress): The 12 red cells around box 5 are maximum cells: they must be higher than all white cells they border orthogonally.
