Battle With The Archers 33: Between Friends and Enemies (part 3)

(Eingestellt am 21. Juni 2022, 08:52 Uhr von Playmaker6174)

This is the 33rd puzzle of my Battle With The Archers collection and the 3rd part of the "Between Friends and Enemies" mini series; for the previous parts you can check out part 1, part 2.

In this part, I want to look at another interesting line with similar mechanics to arrow variant; the main inspiration of the line comes from zetamath and tallcat. This is actually a weird one since I managed to come up with an idea for the opening, but then I realized a huge difficulty spike of that part as well so I scrapped the entire opening idea and analyzed a new one, eventually I came up with this final result which is quite significantly easier. I apologized for the long delay since this one was supposed to be uploaded on the last weekend but I had quite lots of works in real life and also only realized the huge mistake on the first version.

Difficulty should be anywhere in the range 3-4 depends on how fast you understand the structure, I hope you enjoy!

Rules:

- Normal Sudoku rules apply: every row, column and 3x3 box contains digits from 1 to 9 each once.

- Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the circle cell attached to that arrow. Digits along an arrow can repeat if allowed by other rules.

- "Double Arrow": Digit[s] along a line that has two circles as its ends must have the same total as the total of two digits in those circles. Digits along a line can repeat if allowed by other rules, and the same note applies to digits in two circles.
For example, if two circles connected by a two cells line contain 3 and 7 then the line may contain digits like 4 and 6...
To clarify more, the circle R9C7 has two arrows with tips at R7C7 and R9C9, both of which are also circle ends of a "double arrow" line.
