Parity Mirror


Rules:
  • Es gelten die normalen Sudoku-Regeln.
  • Negative Diagonal: Entlang der markierten Diagonale dürfen keine Wiederholungen vorkommen.
  • Parity Mirror: Diese Diagonale ist gleichsam ein 'Paritäts-Spiegel': Ziffern, die sich über die Verspiegelung 'sehen' haben die gleiche Parität.
    (z.B.: ist R6S2 ungerade, so muß R2S6 ebenfalls ungerade sein)
  • Arrow: Die Ziffern in Kreisen bilden die Summe der Ziffern an einem damit verbundenen Pfeil.
    Ziffern dürfen sich auf dem Pfeil durchaus wiederholen.
  • Renban: Violette Renban-Linien verbinden eine Reihe aufeinanderfolgender Ziffern, ohne Wiederholungen und in unbestimmter Reihenfolge.

I think this puzzle is awesome. In my first attempt I bifurcated in hopes of finding a pattern, but I noticed what I missed only after my initial bifurcatory solve. Really beautiful ideas and interactions all around. Thanks a lot for constructing this gem of a puzzle, zegres! :)

Wow. That was pretty cool. If anything, the solve path was cooler than the break-in, which was pretty great to begin with.

Very consistent level of beautiful logic throughout.
A very enjoyable puzzle. Hard, but almost approachable.

Fantastic puzzle. Took me longer than I care to admit, but once I worked out the stunning break-in it flowed very nicely. Thanks for the beautiful puzzle!

Reply: Thanks a lot! I started playing around with the "Parity Mirror" idea and this break-in just sort of emerged. I love it when that happens.
I think there is a lot of potential in this global constraint. Like all global constraints though, it is pretty hard to set.

This puzzle is a beautiful implementation of a great idea. It is cleverly and carefully designed with lovely deductions. Since the grid looks almost completely symmetric with respect to the positive diagonal, at the beginning I kept thinking of the positive diagonal as the mirror. After I got used to the negative diagonal as the mirror, beautiful deductions came one after another in a very satisfying way. Great puzzle!

This puzzle looks somewhat ‘busy’- but don’t be fooled, the construction is very beautifully thought-out and the deductions highly rewarding!
