Standard sudoku rules applies. Fill the grid with numbers from 1 to 6 so each digit occurs exactly once in every row, column and 2x3 box.

Clues outside show the last digit of the product of the first x digit, where x is first digit the clue sees.

All 0 are given.(can’t believe I’m saying this)

You probably don’t see this coming, did you? The original idea is just product(I probably might add it when I figure out if he will post it here). But my experience told me, product can emp up a level by using one digit of the product, mainly the last digit, which is what the solvers usually do. It’s not like sum where you need to remember certain combination. With product, it’s the pattern of the product. Either special last digit like five, or special sum for three and nine. I really don’t think anyone would pull out a calculator for a product. I personally think pencil should be enough for these variant and I just don’t have enough jpg blank for me to do product/

About product, the main problem is aesthetic. Some setters, me, Old Miles, borescoper and some others have some rules for the puzzle we set. Aesthetic is one of the rules. It’s not just about empty grid, certain font and color and line width, it’s also about rules formation, clues coherence and solving process. Product challenges the clues coherence. It can have many digit but can also have one digit. The outside clue will be partially crowded or jagged. Another problem is the solving part. People are drawn towards the smaller digit. I doubt anybody remember 362800 as good as 45. The big digit is what cannot be avoided but also dislike by a lot of solvers, at least here.

About these puzzles, pretty interesting. It’s a fake calculating variant. I can totally write the whole rule in another way. Now I’m kind of wondering how many of these rules can I find. The rules that looks like one thing but solves like a different thing. To be honest, I did not know I could do that until this puzzle. So another puzzle hunt begins.
