Quite clearly signalled where to look for break in. There was enough challenge to keep it intresting after initial flurry. Great puzzle as always, thanks

That was quite hard, had to poke at it bit by bit over multiple days to solve it. Two stars seems low.
Maybe I'm missing a needed principle needed to make it easier.

Response from Eric: Chain.reader, congratulations on sticking it out and solving the puzzle. I originally gave it a 3 star rating but those who solved the puzzle gave their own rating which brought it down to 2 stars.

Thanks a lot for this very enjoyable puzzle. Sometimes I'm stunned how symmetry can work so very nicely and flawlessly. And this is one of them.
I would rate it only 1 star for difficulty, although a beginner might not see the break in right away, so probably ** is good.

Response from Eric: Thanks nunc for the positive feedback. Glad you enjoyed the puzzle.
