Chaos Construction: Border Sums

I enjoy solving Chaos Construction puzzles and here I constructed one myself. I hope you enjoy it. Your comments and ratings are highly appreciated as usual.
RULES: Each row, column, and region must contain the digits from 1 to 9 exactly once. The regions must be orthogonally connected and determined by the solver. Clues outside the grid show the sum of the two digits separated by the first region border seen from that direction in that row/column. (A row or column with a clue cannot be occupied by a single region.) For example; if the regions were the regular 3x3 boxes, then the clue at the top of column 6 would be the sum of R3C6 and R4C6, and the clue at the bottom of column 6 would be the sum of R6C6 and R7C6.
Lösungscode: Number of region borders in each row from top to bottom followed by the digits in row 8.

I solved this puzzle a year ago but apparently never recorded my solve. I re-solved it today and it was just as great as I remember.

Absolutely amazing ! This one took me forever and I had to come back to it because I got stuck a couple of times but I really enjoyed the whole journey (even when i broke it because it felt so good when i finally got it). Another piece of art !

Brutally hard but very satisfying!
I think it is quite easy to make a wrong deduction in this puzzle, so you have to be very diligent all the time!

Does a clue mean there's guaranteed to be a region border? I. e. a 3 cannot be a straight region with a 3 as the last digit?

Yes, a clue guarantees a region border. It is not possible that a row or column with a clue is a single region.
