RULES
– Every row, column, and box contains the digit 0 always, as well as five out of the six digits from 1 to 6 (ie, it's missing one digit that is not 0)
– No two row, no two column, and no two box may be missing the same digit
– For each 0 in the grid, the digits missing in its row, its column, and its box must be three different digits
*** Also, note that a zero always acts as itself (ie, the lowest possible value), regardless of what digits it's replacing in its box, row and column
Arrow sudoku rules are standard. The 0's count for nothing (null) in the sums
Here’s a 4x4 example of what a completed grid might look like; the strips and the box outside the actual grid are there to keep track of the digits that have been replaced by a zero in the three different contexts (box, row, column):
Lösungscode: ON THE PENPA PAGE, the digits in the VERTICAL strip outside the grid first, top to bottom, followed by those in the HORIZONTAL strip, from left to right (12 digits total, no space)

Great fun - solved it in the CTC app (but no tracker cells) so had to hold the tracker cells in my head for once! Got there despite this - very nice flow :)

Good introduction to this variant; not too hard, but still some interesting deductions.

Very nice puzzle! Quite a lot easier than the other doppelganger puzzles, but fun and interesting all the same. :-)

This is a very nice puzzle to introduce people to the doppelganger constraint. It really takes advantage of the logic specific to this rule set, and yet it's much more approachable than the other two puzzles (which are definitely worth solving once you've finished this one).

I must say the original Doppelganger is still one of my most favourite puzzles, so I was really happy to see the new super hard instalment in the series, and now this pretty cool easier (but certainly not easy) warm up. I really enjoyed the solve, thanks.
