Circles and Blocks

(Eingestellt am 29. November 2021, 03:00 Uhr von XeonRisq)

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Shikaku-sudoku:The grid is divided into rectangular regions of orthogonally connected cells. Each rectangle contains exactly one circle. A single cell with a circle can count as a 1x1 rectangle.
  • A number in a circle represents how many cells are in the rectangle the circle belongs to. Rectangles cannot overlap. Every cell in the grid is part of a rectangle.
  • Digits may repeat in a rectangle if allowed by other rules.
  • Prime-Co Blocks: Cages are to contain one Prime digit and one Composite (non-Prime) digit. The digit "1" is excluded from both the Prime and Composite set of digits and will be left out of all cages.
  • The numbers in the top left corner of the cage will be the difference of the two digits in the cage.

  • Acknowledgments: The Shikaku-sudoku hybrid is a ruleset created by Qodec, that I was made aware of by Emphyrio.

Very creative idea! Tough to wrap one's head around it initially, but then it flows quite well. Definitely deserves more solves! Thanks for setting, @ XeonRisq :-)

Thanks for the solve and the compliment. I found it interesting how the constraints worked together and agree that the flow of the puzzle is smooth as a product of that.
