These puzzles are remade by Old Miles from China. Hand written is kind of hard to recognize the digit, so, remade. One of the reason why none of us made a median (maybe until now) is actually the calculation in the order. Usually a non calculate variant gain more audience, so why bother adding it.

Another reason is that too many rules are involved, each rules half the value of the clues. Even if the quads only provide the middle digits, it can still be painful for the setters, of course. There’s no way one could not put border clues to avoid multiple solution. Ina word, median without calculation has weak clues. See how many clues I use, it almost reach the behind even clues limit. It's more painful for the setters, and the result is usually too easy. That negative constraint is just a show-off with no purpose. I could made a symmetric clues. but you know, symmetric is boring, aesthetically.

Also, in case anybody might ask, no, we are not going to remaster the type good series with median rules. It’s not worth it. Type good is a double layer rule with no connection with each other. Switching part of the rule may made it harder, but the solution path is still there. It’s ok in 2017 because Old Miles need to post one new variant everyday. But now, we have more time to explore what’s the limit of one rule. Probably the reason why Old Miles variants gets weirder every year, or maybe just the variants is running out

These puzzles are easy, probably way too easy. I’m just babbling to avoid getting solves. Easy puzzles I post just getting 1 star beauty for no reason. I’m just going to try to keep those people away from this. In China, even if we don’t like a puzzle, we would at least told the author why. We usually don’t sentence a new born variant a death certificate before finding why it fails. At least we tried. For me, this site is too obsess with solution code and difficulty. However, when Old Miles and I made a puzzle, we usually find at least something interesting in every idea. If we are not interested, we don’t even bother making it real. At the end of the day, we create the puzzles for fun. If you can’t find enjoyment in these puzzles, don’t force yourself to solve it.
