Nice puzzle, I like the small variation that makes it simple enough but the logic is elegant.

Thanks. I get that those comments are classic gatekeeping, and I won't be deterred by them. But I also get that I'm new here, and barging into a place and breaking the unwritten rules can be disrespectful. To the extent that I did that, it wasn't on purpose. I also never planned to maintain this pace of publishing, so those who are irritated by it can rest easy.

As for my low solve count, I of course have solved hundreds of puzzles through the CtC channel and in other places. Most of those were before I set up an LMD account, so they're not logged. It never occurred to me that someone might be upset by that, but here we are. It'll gradually creep up, I promise.

There are NO RULES restricting how many puzzles are posted or the frequency.

Nor is there any rule governing how many puzzles you post versus solve.

These people are constantly attempting to get their own way by cajoling and harassing puzzle posters.

It's wrong and harms the puzzle posters and the puzzle solvers who are not breaking rules.

This is not an us vs. them argument, it is right vs. wrong. AND THEY ARE WRONG!

I have been told that once a week is the acceptable rate for publishing puzzles.

Also, it is good form to solve many more puzzles than you publish.

Fair, and thanks for the feedback. In my defense, my first few puzzles didn't get much of a response (I'm guessing because they were kind of difficult and I was unknown), so I posted some easier ones that I otherwise might not have. And when those got a lot of solves and nice comments and decent ratings, it encouraged me to post a few more that were a bit harder (and better), and those got good feedback too, so...

Anyway, point is, I'm obviously still trying to get a handle on how things work here, so please think of this initial flurry of puzzles as a new setter (clumsily) making an introduction and establishing his style. I'll be more selective going forward.

@jwsinclair: imagine just a moment if anyone and specially every new setter would publish at the same frequency as you do..... that would become less and less interesting every day.... motivation will disappear very quickly.... there is a discord server if you want to publish everything you want, but on LMD please try to select two or three best puzzles not more otherwise people wouldnt want to solve anymore..... that's my opinion but i dont think i am the only one to have this one

I'm certainly not trying to be rude, and I apologize to you and anyone else who feels I've been posting too often. I've had some free time and I've really been enjoying making puzzles that I think people will enjoy, and so naturally I want to put them out there (in fact, I have a number of completed puzzles I haven't released yet). I've posted roughly every two days, which I thought was consistent with (at least some of the) other setters I've seen around here, but maybe I'm wrong about that. I'm interested to know what other people think.

I posted these two at the same time because they're similar, but separately because they're different puzzles. I thought that made more sense than to put them out days apart, when people might have forgotten about the first one and/or not notice the connection. But I also realize two at once is a bit much, so it was always my plan to wait longer than usual before the next one. I'll try to do some more solving between now and then.

I have been on the verge of posting on your puzzles before. I can see, that your two most recent puzzles are twins, and as such are related in a way; how about posting them along side each other?
I think it is incredibly rude towards other setters to post puzzles at this frequency. New member with 10 puzzles in a very short time and hardly any solves of other people's puzzles. You could be posting nothing but sublime puzzles, and I would say the very same thing. It's rude. Give other setters a chance to show their creativity.
