Normal sudoku rules apply. The digits along an arrow sum to the number in the connected circle. In thermometers the digits increase starting from the bulb. The clues outside the grid show the sum of the digits sandwiched between the cell containing the 1 and the 9 in the relevant row or column. Cells separated by an X sum to 10. Cells separated by a V sum to 5. Not all XV are given

There either needs to be a V between R3C3/R4C3 and R5C3/R5C4 or specify that not all XV are given. (i.e. no negative constraint.)

I had the same experience as kublai. I removed colors at the beginning since their significance was not explained.
