Standard Sudoku Rules apply to the final numerical layout.
An Arrow in a cell indicates that the cell's value is N, and the Nth cell in the direction of the arrow will have a digit that is consecutive to N. For example, a cell with a 4 and an arrow means that the fourth cell in the direction of the arrow will be either 3 or 5. All possible arrows are indicated.

Setter's Notes :: March 13, 2021 :: The first "Distant Relations" didn't get much attention, but I still wanted to try one with fewer clues, so here it is - a little harder to get started than the first one, I feel.

How interesting, this was considered easier than the first. Perhaps because people got used to the rule set and some of the deductions that can be made?

Another nice one of this type!
Well done with so few arrows. Must have taken a lot of time to find this grid...

Another good one, Brian! Not sure if you are aware, there is a new build of Penpa which is vastly superior to the old one (for one thing, the Undo function works). You can find it here: https://swaroopg92.github.io/penpa-edit/
Might come in handy for future puzzles :)
*** I was NOT aware - I'll check it out. :-)
