Funny: I didn't notice the discussion here was from last year.

I don't see anything ridiculous in the puzzle itself or many upset people in all the comments.

To keep track on this detail of the discussion: I think the puzzle is correct as it is now. And fine and difficult and definitely not time wasting :-) .

Please do not remove this one yet. In my first attempt I got a contradiction without using a negative constraint.
And I see experienced solvers in the solvers' list who posted no public comment. So I definitely want to give it a second try.

@SenatorGronk: your penpa link does not match at all with the new picture here.... (missing gray cells in box 7 !!!)
@XDuncan : not a beautiful puzzle at all, many people gave up (me too) and are upset to waste so much time trying something so ridiculous

Just remove this one thanks a lot

Apart from the obvious mistakes (cdwg2000 is absolutely correct. Even after the correction, the description is still as wrong as it can be. NOT all grey calls are given), and the four hours I helplessly wasted yesterday evening, I do want to say that this was eventually a nice puzzle!

!!!!!!Not all gray cells have been given.

Or R6C4 and R7C7 can only satisfy "All possible gray cells are given" after marking the gray cells.

I very much agree with SirWoezel's point of view that the unique solution cannot be determined without using negative constraints, and there is no solution when using negative constraints. After trying hard for 5 times, I also gave up. :) The author needs to clarify the rules!Maybe I missed something, I hope I made a mistake.

I give up. When I don't use a negative constraint, I get dozens of solutions. When I do use it, the puzzle breaks. Maybe I'm making a wrong deduction, but it all seems pretty sound
