Kropki Bytopia

(Eingestellt am 14. November 2020, 13:46 Uhr von JivkoJ)

This puzzle was created after a question under the inspiring "Kropki Cube" : Can the board go bigger using the same ruleset if it use 12 digits instead of 8?

So I "inflated" the original board (having the perfect form of a D6 die) as far as the 12 digit limitation allowed. The result was 3x3x2 square prism. When the final rule was added to guarantee unique solution the overall setup reminds of the two layers of Bytopia world.

RULES

1. The board is the FULL SURFACE of a square prism 3x3x2. Numbers used are 1 to 12, including a = 10, b = 11, and c = 12.

2. STANDARD KROPKI rules apply: white dots are put between cells with consecutive numbers, black dots are put between numbers if one is half the other. ALL KROPKI DOTS are given.

3. Numbers on each of the 8 FULL LOOPS (3+3+2) around the prism may not repeat. The numbers on EACH FACE of the prism may not repeat.

4. "Unfriendly numbers" are those that are not double or half of another valid number, such as: 7, 9, and b (=11). "Unfriendly numbers" are banished from Bythopia lands - the two 3x3 square faces. They may be used only on the side faces - the four 2x3 rectangles.

Note: Capital letters A to E on the diagram are given for easier tracking the loops and neighbour cells.

Enjoy!

@Jasper: Thank you for the feedback. I will avoid complicated rulesets in the future.

I enjoyed the puzzle - thanks! It is not too hard. I'm not sure why you didn't get more solves - maybe because of the relatively high complexity of the ruleset? Given the multitude of puzzles posted everyday, users need to make choice which ones to engage with. A lot of people then prefer to go for the puzzles with rules that they grasp instantly. That can be a pity, because those puzzles are not always the most interesting ones.

I am wondering why this is the second day with no solution to a puzzle that is pretty similar to 0004NR with a simple 3D twist.
Are the rules unclear, is the board confusing or there is another reason? My current dilemma is if I should improve the rules or basically describe the solution in a few basic steps.
Any feedback is welcome.
