Determinant Sudoku

(Eingestellt am 8. November 2020, 19:25 Uhr von JivkoJ)

First, standard Sudoku rules apply.

Additional KNOWLEDGE to solve this puzzle is that determinant of a 2x2 matrix M with rows (a b) and (c d) is calculated with the simple formula: det(M) = ad-bc. (Some EXCESSIVE info on Determinants in Wikipedia for further reading.)

All clues in this puzzle are determinants of a 2x2 matrices/squares shown as EMPTY CIRCLES in the centre of their square. (The value of the determinants may be put in the circles when found.)

Determinant of each matrix/square with a circle is a DIGIT (integer number, 0-9).

When two circles are orthogonally adjacent the determinants of their matrices/squares are EQUAL.

There are 2 related solutions to be found.

Example: 2 adjacent determinant clues with determinants equal to 0

HINT: Combining "Properties" 13 and 8 in the Wikipedia article on determinants (link given at the start) could help building integer "clue chains".

Enjoy!

Lösungscode: Row 2 of both solutions, start with smaller (18 digits)

I liked the idea of determinants but it was a bit strange for me a sudoku with two possible solutions. Thanks anyway!

Without the guidance of the legend, it is estimated that many people do not understand the rules.

@cdwg2000: Determinant clues are "macro clues" as they bound at least 6 cells - 2 squares 2x2 with 2 shared cells. That's why a good 6x6 example is hard to be built. If there is no solution soon I will add a hint to the puzzle that will simplify the solution.
