Box Killer Sudoku - Twins

(Eingestellt am 7. September 2020, 18:06 Uhr von udukos)

This is the second puzzle in this series. If you would like to give the first one a go, you can try it here.

Normal sudoku rules apply.

An area surrounded by a dashed line will be called a cage. Digits may not repeat within a cage.

Within every 3*3 box (marked by thick black lines), all the killer cages have the same sum. Each 3*3 box has an orthogonally adjacent box, in which also the killer cages have the same sum (except Box 5 (center box) which doesn't have any killer cages). Other than these paired boxes, killer cage sums cannot repeat in other boxes.

For eg. If each killer cage in Box 1 (top left box) had a some of 10, then each killer cage in either Box 2 (box to the right of box 1) or Box 4 (box below box 1) will also have a sum of 10. Apart from these two boxes, none of the other boxes can have killer cages that have a sum of 10.

The sums of killer cages and orientation of pairs (of boxes with same killer cage sums), which lie orthogonally adjacent to each other, is not given and has to be deduced.

Here is an example on a 6 x 6 grid (3 x 2 boxes):
