Is this your lucky day, and will you just roll through this puzzle like any other? Or... will you be desperate to escape the torture of the (little) killers?
The usual killer sudoku rules apply:
- Normal sudoku rules apply, i.e. each of the digits from 1 to 9 needs to appear exactly once in each row, column, and 3-by-3 box.
- An area in the grid surrounded by a dashed line is called a 'killer cage'. The number in the upper left corner of a cage is the sum of the digits within that cage. Digits cannot repeat within a cage.
- Digits along diagonals indicated by arrows must sum to the given number at that arrow. Digits may repeat along a diagonal.

My goodness there was so much maths in that! I really struggled with it because I found the core logic pretty early but had a very hard time trying to state it in a way that constrained the puzzle (I was 90% certain I had found 20 digits in the puzzle, but proving that they were the only option was so tough!). I was fairly certain I had fully constrained the puzzle logically, so in the end I wrote a python script to brute force that and prove it restricted the necessary digits to one option! But hey, every puzzle like this I do brings me closer to being able to easily spot and state this kind of logic!

Pretty tough puzzle for me since little killer has always caused me trouble to find best logics; once I managed to get through the start, the puzzle became smooth enough to resolve. Thank you for this thrilling ride :)

Great puzzle! Quite a lot of bookkeeping, so having Notepad at hand might be a good idea...
