Double Murder Mystery Sudoku

Another mystery, but this time two murders! The left side cages, with no repeated digits, add up to x and the right side adds up to y, both to be determined by the solver (x and y cannot share digits, so 15 and 25 is not allowed). Digits along the thermometers must increase from the bulb end. The little killer diagonal adds up to x-1. Help me find out who did it!
