4 bits Sudoku (hard version)

(Published on 28. March 2020, 22:08 by stephane.bura)

This puzzle was inspired by the very elegant board game Quarto!

This is a harder version of this puzzle.

General Rules: Place a digit from 1-9 into each cell of the grid so that every row, column and outlined 3x3 region contains each digit exactly once.

Unique Cages: Each of the 16 two by two cages is a unique arrangement of odd and even digits (without taking their values into account, only their parities). This means, for instance, that there is only one copy of a cage containing only even numbers, and only one containing only even numbers in its left column and only odd numbers in its right column.
Digits may repeat within a cage.

Cages Sameness: A number between two cages indicates how many odd and even digits are in the same position in both cages (without taking their values into account, only their parities).

Cage Sums: The number in the center of a cage is the sum of either its odd digits or its even digits.

Similarly to the other version, I made it on sudokupad in case anyone else wants to solve it there: https://sudokupad.app/x8tbkrt3mu

I am grateful for Timwi's comment and agree it should be left unhidden

Is my comment really something that should be hidden? I think solvers should know this so they can make an informed decision on which of the puzzles to try first.

I solved both versions with some time in between and didn't even realize that they describe the same Sudoku (until I read this comment).

Sorry if I wasn't clear, Timwi. It is just a variant that I posted on the same day as the easier one.

I solved the easy version first and then found out that this one has the exact same solution. Keep this in mind when you decide which puzzle to attempt.
