Greater than X Sudoku
Solve online in F-Puzzles or Sudokupad (thx snowyegret and sisk0!)

Hi sisk0, how did you manage to get the greater than symbols in the sudokupad app? I am preparing another puzzle that uses this symbols and I have no idea how to get them in my puzzle. Would love to hear how you did that!

I am not sure if there is a better way but for this puzzle I seem to have done the following layers:
1. Given digits
2. Regions (not sure if this was needed?)
3. Cosmetic symbols with white rectangles to cover the lines where the greater than signs should be. For this puzzle I seem to have used fill/stroke color white, stroke width 2, width and height 40.
4. Cosmetic symbols with text size 50 with the < and > characters and varying the angle.

Thanks for your quick response!
I had the white backgrounds in place already and tried the signs with lines, but that didn't work. I'll try the text next. Meanwhile I found that in Penpa+ these signs are standard available, but they are a bit thicker what I don't prefer... We'll see what it becomes.
